"At some point, our lives have been polluted, and we must deal with the poison by putting masks on."

Tamara Henryson's life has been polluted when her father cheated on her mother, multiple times, and she knew ever since she was a kid.

Calista Boncroft's life has been polluted since her curiosity got the better of her. Cali has never known her parents, let alone know what they look like; she has always lived with her aunt, Katarina.

Everett Morris' life has been polluted since 4th grade. He was always bullied in school, for no reason at all, and because of this he has seriously major depression and anxiety. He lives with his older brother, Delroy.

Maxwell Hayley's life has been polluted since day 1. If people expect him to be the best, then he has to be the best. That's how his parents raised him.

This story alternates between Tamara and Calista's relationship to Everett and Maxwell's relationship, and when the 4 meet when they're assigned to do an important class project, who knows what their future holds.
