Vampyres have been around for thousands of years, but it's only recently that they've made their presence known to the world. With more and more children being Marked, the expansion of schools throughout the world is crucial.
When a new House of Night is built in Texas, in a small town not many knew existed, it seemed to create a spike in kids being Marked rather dramatically.
Lindsey Holt is one of those newly Marked fledglings, but she has more than a new life and world to deal with; she's the first red fledgling to be Marked in Texas and there's no explanation for it.
Follow Lindsey and her new life as a vampyre.
