The Navigator

In a distant future, mankind colonized space and the goods are transported between the star system by cargo ships. But the pilots increasingly lose their importance, due to the advances in the automatic pilot and assistant, called The Navigator. Rick one of those pilots, who go so used to the navigator assistant in his ship that he calls it Joey, as a way of not feeling so alone in the vast void of space.
