Nerissa moreti is an average 19 year old college student. She lives with her aunt mariette since her father had died in a car accident and her mother had mysteriously dissapeared when they had gone on vacation with her to California and were close to the beach. Police searched for her in both land and water and the only thing they had managed to find was her mother's precious saphirre necklace, so she always wore it in hopes that she would find her
But after 9 years her hopes stopped and she knew the crude reality that she had died that day. That is why nerissa hated the ocean and any body of water even the swimming pools. One afternoon when she got out of work she decided to take a walk close to the shoreline aware of not tripping or slipping. A strange wave gets close.....too close to the shoreline and before nerissa could run the wave toppled over her and she was dragged into the ocean. She tried to maintain herself aware and is holding her breath as best as she can and is frantically swimming up to the surface but it doesn't work, and she thinks she's dead
The question is, is she dead?
