The Conspiracy Theory of June 17
This is the story of how we found out. At first it was just us three, a cold June morning, a hyper maths class, and a beloved teacher. Then, she had to leave, and it was just us three who had the idea that maybe it was not all it seemed. At first it was just us being silly. We made a 'fake' theory, just for fun, and it ended up not just involving her but everyone else who was being suspicious in our eyes. Ha ha. And then, we went to sleep, and didn't speak of it again, but when woke, there were more than the three of us who knew about it. At first it was just a theory, but before the week had ended it had turned into something more. Of course, at first we were skeptical, but not after it became our reality. A reality so true and harsh that at the first signs of disbelief, it had come to bite us, to hunt us down, to try to kill us. And then we had no choice to unrap it, and that was when we found the truth. This is mostly the story of how me and my two best friends, one teacher, and classmates solved the case of the missing maths teacher and saved about a dozen others from their fates. But this is also the start of something bigger. The formation of a team, the prospect of more adventures, and a mystery just waiting to be solved. Imagine a girl who at the age of thirteen is a drug addict. Now imagine that same person a few years later as a student at MIT... I believe 9 out of 10 people reading this will not be able to do so. It is not because you don't have a wild imagination, but because our societies have made our heads so biased to what they think is proper, that our heads get stuck to stereotypes and prejudices. Every other way of thinking seems wrong. But, there always are a few rebels. The rebels who define the world as they see it. The rebels who don't let others define them. The rebels who break the barriers. The rebels for whom the sky, is just the lower limit. But the people look at them from a sight of disgust. Why do bad things happen to good people? A question that his boy is making himself more then ever this days. From the beginning we see a 17 year old boy, struggling to finish high School, filled up with insecurities, mental health issues, a toxic family home, and impossible standards to live up to. He has learn to not only hate his life, but to want finish it off as fast as possible. Close to finally graduating high school his English teacher, Mr Steve, assigns the class a special progect. "To be able to see life through different eyes, and write about it." For this, Mr Steve gets his class to assist a hospital 3 times a week, and assigns each student, with a patient. This is the moment where this boy meets Royal, a cancer sick 17 year old girl, that has lived in a hospital her hole life, but still finds beauty and meaning in it. Through out the report the boy gets more and more involved in Royal's life, spending unfortunately moments together. But through out the journey he asks himself more and more. "Why do bad things happen to good people?"
