16 year old Ellia is living in a bleak world. 13 years ago horrible natural disasters smashed her world, and created a huge crack, called the Edge. The disasters also destroyed something else- a chemical site known as CCFSU. A chemical was released, which is killing off the human race but by bit. But Ellia leaves her town for the wilderness, and meets someone she'd never expected to see. Soon she's falling in love with two different boys, and finds she has a power which might just be able to save the dying human race. Will it be enough? Or will the humans fall farther into extinction?
