Harry is depressed, sucicidal, has an eating disorder, self harms, and basically just hates life and could care less about himself. 

He used to be the happy boy, full of bad jokes that made everyone in class laugh, that started to change one day, and Louis started to take notice of the change. 
Louis and Harry are always seated pretty close to each other and this can come to Louis' advantage.
