Nowadays, nearly every single villain has been justified, thanks to a lot of movies, books and TV series, specially Once Upon A Time. But not all villains. Remember when David goes to get a flower to remove all the nightmares caused by the sleeping curse? Yes? Good. How about that hooded figure that was supposedly Mother Gothel? If so, great. She's one of those lost and forgotten characters, who need to be understood more. But before anything else here's a quick summary of her story; Once upon a time an evil witch kidnapped a girl and locked her up in a tower to regain her youth (this is the Disney™ version). But why the hell would she do that? Why would she kidnap a freaking PRINCESS? And why would she want to regain her youth? Surely she won't just do that for no reason at all, not would she. As Regina said, "Evil isn't born, it's made." Then why did she become evil? Well maybe the answers to these questions will lead is there, like how did she get magic? What kind of connection is there between her and the Rapunzel flower? Who were her parents? (The last one may seem irrelevant but the plot kinda revolves around it, after all everyone is connected, right?). all the answers to those questions and so much more are there for you to find in the book. Enjoy!
