Amethyst lived the rest of her life trapped in the memories of the past, not willing to just let go and forget. Countless misfortunes throughout her life unfolded, with only fear keeping her safe yet barely alive. However, after reading a letter from her deceased father, she decided to take action in her stagnant life and steer her life towards a better path.

In the process, she met Sicheng, a smart scientist, for the second time after she was assigned for his own project. Despite the weak sense of familiarity, she felt something in him that she had never been able to experience before.

Things took a turn when their experiment ended up in a mishap caused by a persistent irregularity. Sicheng's life was put in danger as a result of the accident, and Amethyst must save him before things go from bad to worse.
