My life was never exactly, perfect per say, but it was manageable. My mother worked two different jobs so that she could support our family, and my father ran off at my birth. My mother hated talking about him, so I never forced her to. It was almost my ninth birthday when it happened. My mother took me to the beach, the place I used to love so much. Now, water was the one thing I could not stand. It destroyed the life of the one I loved most, and now, I am left to deal with the aftermath.
