-Schrödinger's Twins, a short novella in verse

Nick is her father's only daughter.  Her mother and twin brother died when she was born, and for thirteen years, she has been left to deal with the pieces of her broken family.  She speaks with her brother's ghost.  She's failing in school.  She hides heartbreak and ruin beneath the sleeves of her baggy sweatshirts.  Her father's alcoholism threatens to consume both of their lives.  

Then, one day, everything changes.

Told in spare, striking poetry, Schrödinger's Twins is a tall glass of ginger ale for the soul (why ginger ale? you'll understand once you read it).  For a tale that's in equal parts poignant, humorous, and haunting, read on.

But with the chaos at home from her mom, her stepdad and step-siblings, it feels impossible. School is her only escape, a safe haven she shares with her three best friends. They keep each other sane without even realizing it. It's always been the four of them. Until they meet them. Until she meets ℎ𝑖𝑚. Booker stopped caring a long time ago. Between taking care of his sick grandma, dodging bullets and keeping up with school, life is just something he's pushing through. The only things holding him together? His grandma and a stupid promise he made in the seventh grade. Neither of them is looking for more, but sometimes, the people you least expect become the ones you need the most.
