In a world where nothing great happens, nothing bad happens and nothing ever really happens, what is the point. Your one dream is to die. Death is the best thing that could possibly happen but you can't be killed. You can only die if you are chosen to compete in a game called Simple Tasks. Eleven very different people are brought together and each given a series of tasks to complete, in order to free themselves of the wretched curse of life. Some will give up, some might just go crazy. But in the end only the first to complete their tasks will die.
