In a world where nothing great happens, nothing bad happens and nothing ever really happens, what is the point.   Your one dream is to die.   Death is the best thing that could possibly happen but you can't be killed. You can only die if you are chosen to compete in a game called Simple Tasks.   Eleven very different people are brought together and each given a series of tasks to complete, in order to free themselves of the wretched curse of life. Some will give up, some might just go crazy.   But in the end only the first to complete their tasks will die.All Rights Reserved

Missing Heart by Darklightyay

It's a zombie apocalypse. The 3 siblings and a few other people they picked up have to try to survive in the wasteland with famine, lack of medicine, and of course, zombies. Why did this happen? Who caused this apocalypse to happen? Pretty soon they learn that the zombies aren't even much of a problem anymore, it is the consequences of the zombies. Lack of food, supplies and poor mental health kill more than bit marks.

The only thing left that gives a semblance of dreams is: a power that gives control over earth to anyone who touches the item. People form teams to attempt finding the thing, to destroy all life they see as unnecessary, they further trick and murder each other to get what they want, including the thing... The search for destruction destroys everyone who reaches to the power.
