We knew that it wouldn't work. I was a self-diagnosed gypsy with a heart that never wanted to stay still, and he was the boy that never went anywhere. I think the chaos inside me made him feel alive whenever we touched, just as he calmed me with his. Maybe that's why I stayed in New Orleans with him. Even though I knew that if anybody could break this wanderlust heart of mine, it would be him. But, I just couldn't resist the way his voice had cut through the air so perfectly when he said it. Those five words that made my summer begin:

"Maybe you could stay, Tea."
