"You know it's fun being with me, Mackenzie." He steps closer so our chests are nearly touching. I exhale and stare into his chocolate brown orbs. "Give me the chance to make you happy." I notice the sincerity and passion behind his words, making my heart wince harder and harder.
"I know, but I can't-" He silences me with his index finger placed upon my lips. He leans in closer so his lips are beside my right ear. "Think about it." He whispers.
His soft lips meet my cheek for five seconds and then they slowly drift away. I watch as he turns on his heels and walks away, his head bent with his hand brushing the back of his neck. I roll my eyes and press my hand to my head. What the hell did I get myself into? © Lexi C.
