He couldn't take it anymore.
Barry Allen had all these emotions bottled up inside of him, clouding his judgment, causing him to do the unthinkable. He messed with the timeline and altered the life he once knew, but apparently, having to painfully lose his parents once more wasn't good enough. Now, he has to live with the burden of his recklessness, having every second be a constant reminder that things could've been different if it weren't for his meddling.
The hardest part?
He lost the one thing that's been constant, the one thing that's been making the pain easy to endure, the one reason he's gone through so much to restore his reality, only for it to be taken away from him too...
Her love.

How different would the arrowverse had been if Barry Allen had been through everything with Oliver Queen. On the night of March 18th, 2000, Barry came down stairs for to see what the commotion he heard had been. What he had seen was his mother surrounded by red and yellow lightning. Meanwhile, his father Henry was trying to reach out to his mother, Nora. Barry had seen a Man in a Yellow suit within the lightning, and the next thing he knew he was 10 blocks from home. After running all the way home, he sees his father being arrested and his mothers corpse being covered with a sheet. He was adopted by his best friends dad for 2 years. He is constantly called crazy, delusional, and traumatized. When barry turned 13, he decided to sign up for a student exchange program. The destination of said exchange, China. Flip to the other side of the coin, and we see that Oliver has been born and raised with a silver spoon in his mouth. He was born in the illustrious family of the Queen's, and he grew up with his best friends, Tommy Merlyn and Laurel Lance. Oliver had a little sister named Thea when he was 6, Oliver is 15 when Barry's mother is murdered. 2 years later, Oliver decides to go with his father Robert Queen on a business trip to China. They set out on the Quen family yacht, the Queens Gambit. Through a work of fate, Oliver and Barry end up on Lian Yu together, 5 years ahead of schedule for when Oliver was supposed to end up on the island. How will things differ and be the same during those 5 years? What will it be like when they come back to "civilization". Read on to find out. All characters used are property of the CW and DC Comics.

Everyone I've seen who writes flash fanfiction tends to start the book during the actual show, but I've always thought some of those need more backstory than they are given. So I decided the first book in my fanfiction series should fully explain Y/N and Barry's history with one another. I care a lot about grammar and my writing. When he returned he set out to right his deceased father's wrongs and that is how he became The Arrow but the name later changed to The Green Arrow. After catching his wife cheating on him he divorced her. Oliver and Barry had been friends for years and when Barry asks if he could stay for a few days Oliver is happy to help him out.
