Already over a month had been spent crammed into the tour buses like tins of human sardines and it was starting to get to everyone, even those who loved tour life. They were musicians and this is what they lived for, but there was a limit.
This tour was different - it was so much more intense, relentless, and draining, and some of the most fun Bert had had on any tour so far.
Days off were rare and hotel nights were non-existent, so it was up to the individual to make the best of their time off and what little personal space they had on the tour buses. This was easier said than done when the bunks felt like caskets and the seats were only just big enough to seat everyone at breakfast, but somehow tonight the stars had aligned in a weird kind of way.

Ever hear of those old choose-your-own-adventure books? Well, here's one for you Crue style. If you're not familiar with my writing and other books on Wattpad, this may not be your thing. Fair warning, I write Crue x Crue. This book banks off my first 3 books. While they're not necessary to read, you'll get a better idea of the characters, backdrop, and their history if you read them. The band just completed rehab, all are clean and sober. Nikki, in particular is excited to start work on their next album. The problem is, their new record producer has his studio in Vancouver, BC. Nikki insists that the band needs to relocate there in order to make the best album ever. And it also means leaving their women at home. Mick and Vince aren't happy about this. They just got out if rehab, and now have to leave their women behind? Tommy, well he's another story. While he hates to have to leave his wife, he pretty much OK with it because of his secretive relationship with bandmate, Nikki. You choose where to take their adventures. *If you're reading this, as of this time, only one half of the book has been completed. This book has to be uploaded all in one shot in order for it to work. However, this has been a much bigger project than I ever anticipated. I realized that I can get away with a half upload, while I work on the rest. As of now, when you get to your first place in the book where you choose, you can only choose the side I finished. Everyone has their battles. Preston was diagnosed with cancer, leukemia, at 17 years old and 7 years later he was still battling it. He's almost never home, spending months upon end in hospital receiving treatment that is working less and less each time. Mitch couldn't remember a time that he wasn't depressed, that he felt like he was alive. Treatment never seemed to work, meds only made him feel worse and the only thing that made him feel anything was bringing a blade to his skin. Jerome didn't know how the addiction started, but drugs had always been apart of his life. His parents were addicts so it seemed like fate that he would follow the same path, and now he didn't know if he could change. Vikk had turned to alcohol to lessen the pressure on him to succeed and now it was just apart of his life. He tried to hide it and got pretty good at it too, but he was sure that someone knew of his habit. He was drinking his life away. Lachlan was diagnosed with schizophrenia. The mania set in worse as more years passed to the point where he wasn't entirely sure what was real anymore.
