Werewolves may live amongst the humans but that doesn't make werewolves like them. When Amethyst learns that she may not be part wolf she worries on what will come of her when the full moon appears on her 18th year of life.

"As the moon slowly appears from behind the night clouds, my skin grows goosebumps. Nothing from my wolfie senses but from my nerves. As the moons light slowly approaches where I stand I'm overcome with the feeling as though I'm being watched. Not from the pack in front of me but from an unwanted pair in the tree line. I begin to feel this unsettling warmth spread through my veins. As I begin to sweat, a howl erupts through the crowd. The howl is almost like a whispering song that Ive heard before in my dreams. From the nights mask, the pair of eyes cuts through the crowd, along with his 6'4" figure and dark brown hair. I lock eyes with him now and in an abrupt growl I hears, "mate."
