"Allow me to explain how the game is played." said the executioner toward the group of people.

"It is very simple, but unlike how you would normally play, for instance the deck of cards over here." the man pointed toward the little stand on which a deck of cards sat.

"As well as for each letter inside of the word you get, we will bring out X amount of stairs, which for each wrong letter, you will walk up one stair, finally going toward death-consider your mistakes the same as digging your own grave." He hideously smiled toward them.

They, the victims and the executioner, were inside some sort of gymnasium, however on the floor were polls in which many people were chained to- hands behind their back, unable to sit up, and dog collars along their necks.

"What's the deck of cards for?" someone yelled out.

"Those... are special event cards..." he left the crowd hanging, not removing the hidden fear in each of their hearts about what the deck of cards was, yet rather instilling a even worse sense of dread, as for when the first card is drawn....

"Please take me home" I no longer felt like going to work I didn't want my patient to see me devastated and terrified. After a few minutes we reached my apartment as I was about to get out he locked the doors I shivered feeling him turn towards me by now my eyes were glossy. I slowly turned to look at him the smell of blood was painted on him the tears rolled down my cheeks his thick thumb wiped them away my body was shaking I was terrified of this man when his skin made contact with mine my body tingled with a foreign emotion, I looked up at his eyes letting him touch me afraid he would kill me if I moved. "Goodnight my Queen" I shivered at the title he had given me, I was scared to the bone and I was not about to argue with him while he had a taste for blood the look in his eyes told me he still wanted more when he entered the car earlier on. He tenderly kissed my forehead lingering as my heart exploded I waited patiently and shut my eyes praying for him to remove his lips from my skin so I could go home. He finally did and when he unlocked the car doors I jumped out and hurried to my apartment not looking back at the devil in the car. I finally reached my apartment panting and shut the door sliding down my door crying hysterically, I could still feel his cold lips on me. What did I just witness tonight. What did I get myself into. I was scared of the future because I knew surely he would be back to check on his Queen. "I'm going to get you out of there," Finnick's voice was firm, each word sharpened by perseverance. "How?" the young girl challenged, her tone tinged with desperation. "You're out here, and I'm trapped in there." Finnick's eyes swept over her, his mind racing to find a way to outsmart the system, break her free, and hide her away. "Andrew-" he started, but she cut him off. "He'd give his life for me, I know. But I'd do the same for him. When it comes down to it, it's a race to see who can throw themselves in front of the other first." Her voice was steady, resolute. Finnick's gaze lingered on her, troubled. "You're too young to be so ready to die," he sighed, disappointment heavy in his words. ----- [𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘦𝘥:23𝘳𝘥 𝘈𝘶𝘨𝘶𝘴𝘵,2024] [𝘌𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘥:----------] ----- 𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚: 𝘉𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘥,𝘚𝘦*𝘶𝘢𝘭 𝘈𝘴𝘴𝘢𝘶𝘭𝘵,𝘚𝘦𝘭𝘧 𝘏𝘢*𝘮,𝘗𝘛𝘚𝘋,𝘌𝘹𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘦 𝘎𝘰𝘳𝘦,𝘗𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘤 𝘈𝘵𝘵𝘢𝘤𝘬𝘴,𝘚𝘸𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨,𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘵𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯,𝘙*𝘱𝘦,𝘈𝘨𝘦 𝘎𝘢𝘱. "Okay, where do you want me to start?" "Anywhere you wish." "There were five of us. Dani, Elizabeth, Audrey, Taylor and me. We spent about 9 months in the basement. The walls where cement. The floor was cement. We each had our own chairs. Dani had her baby blue chair with white roses in the upper right corner. Elizabeth had her pale pink chair with white daiseys in the lower right corner. Audrey had her yellow chair with white roses in the upper left corner. Taylor had her black chair with red roses in the lower left corner. I had a white chair with sunflowers that sat in the center, the very center of the room. Each of us had a light above our heads. There were no covers in the lights just the wires losely hanging with the light attached at the end. The front legs of all our chairs had buckles that when we sat down they were right where our ankles were like he knew just were to put them. There were buckles on our arm rests that when we laid are arms on them the buckels our wrist were in the perfect spot. I think its funny how we all never made the conecction." "What conecction would that be?" "That we all have brown hair, blue eyes, were 5'5, all weighed 130. That when you put the first letter of each of our names together it spells Death. I love how at one point we all thought something, right before we were taken. Dani thought she was going to get mail. Elizabeth thought she was picking up dinner. Audrey thought she was going to class. Taylor thought she was taking her dog for a walk and I thought I was going to marry him and that I loved him with all my heart."

This could be it. I quickly start to look around the place before the torture starts. Every piece of information I can get stands out to me as my mind connects the pieces. Brianna also seems jumpy as she watches Raphael get up to look at the farthest door where the other passengers came from. Raphael takes a surprised step back as he looks through the small window again. He slowly turns around and his face is pale as he says, "The other part of the subway is gone." "What?!" A tall man says with wide eyes. "No! That's impossible! We just came from there!" The rest of them nervously look around as Ben gets up to look through the window of the conductor's room. Michelle gets up to see what Raphael keeps seeing and Brianna lets out a nervous pant. "There's no conductor." I stand at this and my blood falls to my feet. Frantic looks go around the place and nervous voices fill our ears along with the scrapping sound of the subway. I turn around to look at the other passengers and my eyes catch the red lights from the moving letters on one part of the roof. I gulp and sweat starts down my neck as I read its bright letters. Welcome back, players.
