The Defenders, Rise of the Guardian

Dan Hunter was once a normal, 16 year old kid, just trying to do the right thing and studied martial arts. When one day, a small meteor fell from the sky and crashed into his backyard. Upon further inspection this meteor was made of pure silver and glowing. When Dan touched it, he woke up in his bed, no meteor in sight. However, he noticed something different. Later he learns he has gained some kind of power to summon a weapon that fitted his needs. Soon he adopted the vigilante name "Guardian" and struck out to take on the mob in his city. Little did he know that he has started down a path toward a destiny full of a new type of humans with powers, alien warfare, and a slim chance to save not just his city, but the world.
