It is 2143. Planet Earth was destroyed 131 years ago and now any inhabitants of Planet Earth are living on Mars. All inhabitants of Earth were relocated unless they didn't want to move. If they made the choice to stay behind, they were instantly killed when Earth blew up. 

During these 131 years since humans were relocated, the government and scientists have figured out how to continue human life on Mars. Because of this, every person is required to have a surgery on their fifteenth birthday, to make them more like an adult. This will change their looks slightly, and alter their brain chemistry. Everyone has the surgery, even if they disagree secretly and even if they don't want to.

And before, Echo Hilton, no one has ever challenged it. And soon, life on Mars is about to change.All Rights Reserved

MINDSLIP is the catastrophe which hits the Earth at 8.15am GMT next Wednesday morning. It began six hundred and fifty years earlier when Betelgeuse fulfilled its long-held prophecy to turn supernova. The radiation, gamma rays and gravitational waves hit the Earth at the same time as a coronal mass ejection. The combined bombardment causes all creatures on the Earth to swap minds, leaving people in animals, animals in people, men in women and children in adults. The nightmare which follows becomes a social and economic catastrophe. Geoffrey Arnold becomes a key figure in the government catastrophe committee, formed to resolve the myriad issues raised by MINDSLIP. Power generation, the health service, farming, pay, pensions, education, the banking system and asset ownership spiral into chaos. In addition, Geoffrey must save his wife from an imminent premature death brought on by one of the MINDSLIP effects. MINDSLIP is a realistic, frightening and sometimes amusing work of imagination which explores how people and families react to the world being changed beyond recognition. The council says that they have a plan; they said that in order to prevent the death of more innocent people they will test every man, woman, and child for signs of the virus. Any person found to have been infected will be quarantined, the ones who die will be given a proper burial while the ones who survive are deemed carriers and are to be sent to the home planet to prevent further outbreak. I was prepared for the people I know and some I love being taken away for the greater good, but I never would have expected that among the list of people being taken from my community, that I would be one of them.. After a nuclear war nearly in 2150 the whole Earth has become uninhabitable for humans. There are some major cities which are still running but have very scarce resources such as food, water and oil. There are tall, thick walls protecting people from the outside world, surrounding the whole city and there is a ceiling, blocking the radiation from seeping in as air is filtered through the roof. The year is now 2205 which is the beginning for Earth to become how it was before. There are a group of people called The Warriors who go out and try to look for resources, facing death daily. A seventeen year old boy tries to steal food for his friend, he gets caught and is sentenced to death. The only way he could get out is if he joined The Warriors to search for a mythical jungle which is rumored to be flourishing in food and water. The journey is going to be very dangerous and death can come at any corner. There are bandit clans, somehow surviving outside of the walls and new types of animals unseen from humans that they didn't know existed. He will meet new friends, make some enemies and will be manipulated to do some really idiotic things, will he survive the journey and become a hero? Or will he die anyway?

Those with lighter hair follicles and iris colors are considered problematic; skin tone is no longer the issue. Every race has the ability to be born with lighter features, so there's no prejudice against race. Just physical features. Sybaran is the continent; Nephraim (home village) , Salem (stricter division, where Aero was born), Mieich, and Shankrai, are the 4 subdivisions (countries) of Sybaran that we have so far.
