Long ago in the time when there was peace the wolves were divided into clans called Kufs. When war threatened the leaders of each Kuf mated with a human. For many generations the wolf genes have remained hidden. Now 100,000 years later they show up on the 16th birthdays of 10 extraordinary teenagers. They just don't know it yet.
