Summer vacation- a time to chill on the beach, put food in your stomach, and chat with dolphins if dolphins were capable of human speech. Meg has been looking forward to this day since her homeroom teacher, Ms. Tettleber, walked into the room. When that day rolls around because I am suddenly comparing time lapses to tricycle wheels, Meg's parents drop a bomb on her. Her father's work thingy is suddenly.. doing something, (she wasn't really paying attention to this little snibbit) and her parents are leaving for Nottingham for 2 months. With her little sisters off at summer camp, Meg can only come to one conclusion-
She's going to be left home alone for 2 months.
Ready to burst out of her 'perfect super girl of awesomeness and 'A+'es and multiple star stickers' shell, Meg paitently cries, checks off days on the calendar, paces, screams, flails her limbs, pleads the Lord, and stares unwaveringly at the clock until that day arrives. Her parents are off. She's have the whole house to herself- wait. She's not staying home alone, her brother's coming to 'babysit' her.
Did I forget to mention his name rhymes with Wouie Homlinson?
That's right, Meg's brother is Dewey Shomlison.
I'M KIDDING! No, her brother is Louis Tomlinson, you know, that guy on that poster that you have in your room. With One Direction, tortilla chips, humans, events, other things that exist, (HELP ME OUT) and inhaling oxygen, how can anything possibly get less exciting for Meg? No seriously. And with one rock star (or whatever he is) watching her, how can she follow the one rule (you know, amongst the two-million others) her parents laid down for her-
No parties?
Like that's happenhhaaa- sorry, I got a little confetti in my mouth. Confetti? What is this, the 1970's? Ahem, like that's happening.
"Why do I have to go to school today?" I could hear my brother asking my mom.
She responded to him by yelling, "Because you are not sick, you are not hurt, and you're just being lazy! Now get ready because you're gonna make your sister late!" He knew today was not a day to argue with my mother. Her car was broken into the night before and she had been on the phone with my father and police all night. My parents had been divorced since I was seven, but since my dad is a cop, she calls him whenever something happens to get advice on what to do.
As 7:30 approached, I yelled at my brother, "Ryan are you ready yet? We have to go now!"
He yelled back "I'm coming down right now!" Of course he wasn't down for another 3 or 4 minutes.
On my way to school, I was speeding a bit because I knew that traffic was gonna be bad. It didn't help that I saw someone being pulled over just up ahead and everyone has to slow down when they pass by to see if they know them... "UGH! PEOPLE MOVE! IT'S NOT A BIG DEAL!" I have the worst road rage in the morning, and my brother told me to calm down, so instead of getting mad at him, I just turned my stereo on and blasted the same CD that had been in my car for the past 3 months, One Direction's Up All Night. My brother started screaming because One Direction is the only band I ever listen too. I just turned it up louder to drown him out. As soon as I heard Liam's voice come on, my mood was instantly changed for the better. While listening to the music I felt my phone buzz saying one of the boys had tweeted. I threw the phone at my brother and it was Harry tweeting, "Louis got pulled over in California again! Someone take his license!" I started laughing, but I didn't really think anything of it. That was until I came up to the car that was pulled over and saw the British license plate.
Marisol's life is just about to be changed...for the better or the worst ?
