In many stories, the Dark Lord character had always been depicted as an evil entity who must be stopped...
but in Dith's case, the Dark Lord character happens to be his dad.
Literally.
Dith is the prince of a whole legacy of darkness, and he can't help but see it as what he was born to inherit... that is, until he is introduced to the "evil" part.
Against his father's wishes, Dith refuses to have anything to do with his father's diabolical plans and runs off, promising to put an end to the madness...
With a rich bounty on his head, his only chance is the good guys... IF he can get them to trust him.

Coming from a long line of pure blooded Gryffindors, the L/n family is well known and respected among the wizard community. Y/n's parents, M/n and F/n are proud aurors known for standing up again The Dark Lord and his followers before his eventual downfall caused by a young Harry Potter. Now, it's Y/n's time to go to Hogwarts, alongside Harry Potter and many other young witches and wizards. Having had the benefit of two auror parents, Y/n has been able to practice magic for almost a year before his initial departure to Hogwarts through the use of an untraceable wand. His parents quickly learned of Y/n's natural affinity for magic, as everything seemed to come easy to him, but not after a rocky start, of course. Once Y/n got the hang of basic magic, which took quite some time, something seemed to click in the young boy. His parents slowed down his magical teachings to ensure he still had things to learn once at Hogwarts and wasn't too far ahead of the other students. It is now Y/n's eleventh birthday, and he's off to Hogwarts with knowledge of spells equivalent to that of a second year. With Y/n being as ahead as he is, how will the stoic young lad get along with other students in his year? If you had the chance to go back in time and change the past of all your mistakes, would you do it? How far would you be willing to go to change yourself and not risk losing your family in the midst? Ever since the young female known as Rebecca had lost nearly everyone she ever cared about in the reality plain, mostly due to her personality and just not being good enough, she had started to focus on herself more and working towards finding out who she truly was. What she discovered was rather surprising, but in hindsight, it was not the case. She wanted to change herself, become someone better and leave behind the scarred, weakened body that she had now. However, the leader of the manor began to fear many things from risking the respect of her family to losing the one man that's always been by her side since the beginning, causing her to worry and overthink things to the point where her imagination goes a bit too far down a dark path that a certain creature of the past soon encourages her to follow. Sidenote: Hello there, everyone! I just wanted to say something real quick before you proceed with reading this short story of mine and that is that this one is rather personal, more than my other stories in a sense where it pertains to my current struggle in my outside life of identifying as a male rather than a female these days.
