Elias, a high-elf traitor, was doing all he could to be loyal to K'yorl. Through events that lead him to the surface, he'll meet elves who treat him nothing but kindly. He still thinks he belongs under the surface.
Tso'sun is the drow emperor's half-brother. Though he's loyal to the high-elves and his father, he still breaks every time he's forced to battle against his brother and nephew.
The two met when Elias was thrown into the dungeons. It all truly became a war when Elias doubted who he wanted to fight for, all under the influence of the kind half-drow.

Being Half Earthblood elf and living as the king of Katolis's adopted child was lot, especially when he and my adoptive brothers have no idea what you really are.
