Some fates are worse than death--survival is one of them. In the two hundred years since humanity left the Earth's surface to live in the sky, life on the ground faded to a myth, a tragic memory from which they severed themselves to survive. They floated above continents turned to sand and lands swallowed by the seas, watched storm after storm rage against their cities and their monuments until they broke apart the last vestiges of civilization in penance for generations of human greed. As a lightning harvester charged with flying her ship into these storms for energy, Raina has seen more of the planet than most. She has spent her entire life soaring above its craters and scars, studying the gaping wounds of human devastation, as she honed her skills and became the youngest captain in storm-chaser history. Her ship has flown for generations. Her skills are unparalleled. But none of that matters the day they go down. ~ Praise for Earth, After: "I'm so not ready for this ending. A dystopian young adult novel involving romance, secret experiments on human subjects, and a group of teenagers' will to survive. Reader Comments: "I'm gonna gush about your book real quick...all the technology has a purpose and is beautifully explained so I can picture it in my mind...the whole concept of the book is completely original...*moment of silence for your beautiful arch of character development* everything your characters do is strictly them but they develop enough to show more about themselves without you straight up telling the reader about them" -Vairl9023 "Ahh!!! This is so good!! I will be anxiously awaiting the next Chapter!!" -CrystalBagot "Brilliant...ohh, this is very catchy, good work" -IndeeMaynard "I love this so far" -BrianneMorris "You've done a great job at creating a mysterious mood" -poisonedpen *** All Evita Creedy, 17, wants is to finish her degree and be accepted for a prestigious job with the city's Department of Energy. AN: This is a story that I wrote and the end of my seventh grade year, and to be honest I started other books and just kind of forgot it. But then in the beginning of my eighth grade year I started it again, and this lasted me all throughout it. On Wattpad, this is what, 20 parts? This is two parted with 10 chapters in the first part, and then in the second part 8. So this is 18 chapters of Fallout references. Enjoy. Long ago, the worlds three strongest countries went into a nuclear war, leaving the world deathly sick with radiation. The world was thought to be gone forever. But someone had an idea. Tara Benjamin was a regular girl living in the Gate. The Gate is an underground facility that holds healthy humans. You are born there, and you die there. Although, there is a way out. Tara's father took this way out, and too early. Tara Benjamin is shunned for her rule breaking father and she sets out for him, only wanting him to be there. On her perilous journey she meets Duke, sniper for a Metal Town. Reluctant soldier boy, he joins her. Later she meets Kris, a clown out of her era. Together, they try to fix the world with a huge band aid called murder.
