When Lotus, the Captains right hand man, was retiring, the Captain wanted to replace him with her. Lotus felt a woman was unfit to fill such a responsible position, and took his rage out on them, killing the Captain after a days battle. He banishes Erin, sending troops after her, for her head. However, she was smarter than that, and saw that coming. She travels with Rune, a man who saved her life during the previous days battle, reluctantly. Rune is a secret assassin for Queen Eiva, who has sent him on a mission to find out about this upcoming war, threatened by a group called the Pandoreos. He has his own secrets that not even the queen knows, however, Dakota, a wolf who can speak to Erin, can tell he's hiding something. Erin eventually struggles with her feelings toward Rune. When the threat of the Pandoreos worsens, Rune is called back to queen Eiva. Rune commands Erin to travel with Kier, a man who has a special hatred for these Pandoreos, and warn Queen Beatrice, and King Cecerion about the upcoming war, in hope for an alliance with Queen Eiva. That is, if the humans can stay one step ahead of the Pandoreos.Terminé

Two villains work for a guild that do mob/gangster like jobs for income. Like they take a job request (like an assassination) on the board and if they complete it, then the guild gives them the reward money. However the two main villains could never successfully complete a job because they are clumsy, their powers suck, or they always get defeated by a hero. The only income they receive is pity change from the guild. The guild members pretty much call them lame villains and that heroes walk all over them. The guild starts seeing them as a waste of money and space so they start to evict them. The main characters would have nowhere else to go, but see a request that's asking to kill one of the top heroes in the area.
