Seventeen-year-old Vera Jordan is starting her senior year of high school and she can't wait to get out of boring Grandview, Vermont.  That is, it was boring until she meets five interesting people.  A new classmate that is always "coincidentally" bumping into her, a geeky new math teacher that is more than enthusiastic to tutor her, a hot new gym teacher that always teases her, a boss that looks like he should be a model instead of a bookstore owner, and a perverted co-worker that always hits on her.  Normally, she would simply brush all of this off, but there's something about them that makes her adore them but also makes her skin crawl.  And she finds herself falling for one of them.
