On this new planet, Socks meets some new friends, a group of humans he grows fond of. It's peaceful, and, although homesickness is present, he is at peace. But nothing lasts forever. For a little piece of home resides in the shadows. A dark one that, although Socks has never formally encountered, knows all about and had been influenced by greatly. If it weren't for him, he may not even have been on Earth. And that little piece of home... Wishes him and the entire human population to hell. ---------------- NOTE: THESE CHAPTERS ARE CURRENTLY UNDER RECONSTRUCTION. I didn't feel like entirely rewriting the book, so I'm rewriting individual chapters currently. This note will be deleted once I've rewritten everything. After waiting for it all their lives, the crew is going to space. The trip was supposed to go smoothly, traveling to Polus and doing research there and then returning back to Earth. But a glitch in the system sends a virus into the crew, which infects one of the members with a sudden desire to kill the other crewmates. The only problem? There's no way to tell which one is infected. The twisted game only gets worse as more and more dead bodies show up around Polus. Can Meme and Socks finally learn to work together in time to save the few of them who are left? - I read through and edit each of my chapters before they are published, but mistakes still tend to get through.
