After realizing that they're bored without bashing each other's antics, Dib and Zim befriend each other. Soon after, Zim finds himself on an autopsy table, and believes Dib to be the culprit. Thinking quickly, he travels back in time to when he befriends Dib, intending to stop the event from taking place. But in the process, he finds out that Dib wasn't planning anything of the sorts. Now without a disguise, Zim must team up with his greatest enemy (and at the same time his only friend) to find who else in this world of idiots would know Zim's true identity.
Side note, this book does contain ZaDR (Zim and Dib Relationship) so if you don't like ZaDR, I'm telling you now that you can leave.
As well, this book is a work of fiction-within-fiction, meaning that it is NOT canon to the show. It takes place after the events of Mopiness of Doom (an unaired episode, which you can watch on youtube in the form of either an animation project or an official script reading, neither of which are mine.) and doesn't fully follow the canonicity of future (unaired) episodes. If you haven't seen Mopiness of Doom, some elements of the story may not make sense.

Takes place a few weeks after the Florpus incident, and Zim gets a call from the Tallests. They finally tell him the truth, and he doesn't take it well. They have had enough of Zim, and are personally on thier way to deactivate him, killing and getting rid of him. Dib notices the changes, and is beginning to get suspicious. He's wondering if Zim is actually acting off, or if he's just faking it. What will happen when Zim finally snaps? For real this time. EDIT: Keef is being a creepy little jerk, Tak is acting like a moody teenager, Skoodge is taking a vacation until he gets a new mission, and Lard Nar gets saved by the Irken Empire. Irkens Cant Love (Zim x reader)
Humans were disgusting to one like Zim. Any Irken could see that the species was disturbingly stupid and possibly not even worth the time. That's why it suprised him so much to find a human who detested her own kind. It was a foreign thought to someone like him, a proud member of his own race. So when he too, starts to learn things about himself and his kind, he comes to love something he never thought he would. The very species he was sent to destroy had also taken part in giving him everything he ever wanted. INFO/DISCLAIMERS I will attempt to update at least once a week. Also, this story is for all audiences. I tried making it as "kidfriendly" as the show is. I just cant picture swearing and stuff in invader zim, even after I watched helluva boss. (Sorry for making this for female pronouns only! My other stories are much more inclusive. Invader zim is not mine, all characters (except Y/n and Lori, and Tilla) belong to Johnen Vasquez. I also dont own any featured art. Also please note that this is my first story and I have improved since then. My other stories are, in my opinion, much better and less cringe. ** YALL, THIS WAS MY FIRST FANFIC, WRITTEN WHEN I WAS TWELVE. PROCEED WITH THAT IN MIND, BECAUSE ITS PROBABLY HOT GARBAGE THROWN INTO THE BURNING PITS OF HELL AND THEN TAKEN BACK OUT ONLY TO BE DRENCHED IN LAVA. ** After unexpectedly finding the irken crying in the corner of the men's bathroom, Dib tries his best comfort him despite not knowing what was wrong, and despite what they still continued to believe was mutual hatred towards each other. The two suddenly became closer, however, and after a while the human became sick of the people he shared a planet with. He and Zim were both equally as tired of their societies, and one day the two decided to team up and take over worlds, and eventually even the galaxy, together. *･゜ﾟ･*:.｡..｡.:*･･*:.｡. .｡.:*･゜ﾟ･* Alternative title: Two gay dumbasses go on a space adventure, get in trouble, and fall in love while denying it constantly. Probably would've been better than "Salt and Sugar" but TOO LATE The first three parts are absolute sh!t but it gets better ig so don't worry. We get into actual plot around chapter 12 so if you're sick of fillers GUESS WHAT IT'LL BE OVER SOON This fic is a rewrite because the old version had no plot or anything interesting whatsoever. TW) Cursing, mentions self-harm (specifically the scars) Characters are aged up to be in the range of years 16 and 18, Zim's a bit less... Weird. After a rather rough breakup Zim leaves Earth vowing to never return, but when he succumbes to loneliness and the irken empire refuses to take him back he turns to the last place where he felt he might be able to belong. But after 13 long years Earth, along with the people Zim once knew, has changed and now Zim must live with the consequences. Will the Dib take him back, or is it to late for the little irken? ~~ This is an Invader Zim, ZaDr fan fiction, it includes ships, OCs, and alot of non-cannon material. !Also Warning! this book has some graphic scenes, and references to, self harm, suicide, sexual abuse, and ptsd/trauma.
