It is said that once one is crowned victor of the Hunger Games, they never have to return to the arena. Every twenty-five years, there is a change in the Games for that year only. These special years are called Quarter Quells... and for this year's Quell, the Capitol has created something beyond anyone's imagination. For the seventy-fifth annual Hunger Games, the tributes will be Reaped out of their District's own pool of victors... And only two can win if they are from the same District... Cyra Merison, Alia Fletson, Cato Demeir, and Gale Hawthorne are all Reaped back into the Games for another year to participate in the bloodbath. And this year, not all of them will have the odds in their favour. For Cyra, this year is especially horrific. Not only is she Reaped back into something she loathes, but is also forced to marry someone she hates under the power of President Frost. Alia, on the other hand, takes her Career training to a whole new level and proves to everyone she intends on winning. And with the 'sudden' death of head Gamemaker Seneca Crane, President Frost takes control of the Games this year. He makes it clear to all of Panem who his favourite tributes are... And if the citizens are smart, they will bet on them as well. The tributes will be forced to fight harder than ever if they wish to win.
