We all know the story. James woos Lily, they get married and have a child, then get killed by Voldemort, but Lily's love helped her son win the war. But we've also heard that James was a jerk in school, and Lily obviously wasn't a pushover, otherwise she would never have given her life like she did.
So...what happened? What did Moony, Wormtail, and Padfoot do to help dear ol' Prongs get the girl? Something had to happen, because James wouldn't have married Lily unless he had changed at least a bit.
But you can't just focus on one person for seven years; Sirius and Remus and Peter had to have something going on. Something they could tease each other about.
And hey, what Marauder story could be complete without some midnight snacking, run-ins with Severus, and some dangerous shenanigans?

What if in the year of the Marauders there was one more girl who would be worthy of being called Marauders? How would history have unfolded then? The biggest school Casanova and a small and quite mean witch. What happens when these two characters meet? ""And why are you so scared?" Lily laughed seeing her friend. The teenager moved towards her, and as soon as she saw Padfoot, she grabbed the red-haired's hand and dragged her to the corridor. "What's wrong?" Evans was surprised. "I start to worry." "Lily." Girl looked seriously at her friend. "Look, I don't know exactly how it happened, but..." Began, then took a deep breath and finished. "I slept with Sirius. " "How did I know I'd find you here?" James approached sad teenager. "It's not normal for you to be so sad. What happened?" He asked with concern. "I got lost in all this, James..." Girl whispered. "I don't know what I really feel anymore." "Is it about Sirius?" Boy guessed at which she nodded hesitantly. "Go ahead and talk to me." He encouraged her to talk. "Listen, Sirius is my friend, and so are you. Don't worry, I won't tell him. I promise." Potter smiled warmly. "Whatever you tell me, it stays between us." "Thank you." She replied with a shy smile. Two boys. One with a supposedly perfect nerdy life and living out his college years in a flat he shares with his two best friends, astronomy PhD and a life full of wonders ahead of him. The other, the most punk rock person at Hogwarts college (as he'll tell you), amazing painting skills and a heart that's still too broken to heal. They could not be farther apart in the social chain. Avery Alex is thirteen and sick. As a young girl she was diagnosed with an incurable disease. She's been fighting for years and years on end. Having medicines pumped into her veins. Going through pain many don't even imagine. The only reason she's holding on is because she wants desperately to finish the Harry Potter series. She has no family, no friends, so to her she doesn't care if she passed. She just wants to finish the books. But when she does, and she stops fighting, she gets pulled into a new world. Modern Marauders (Jily fanfic)(Completed)
What I'm doing here is taking the Marauders' (James, Sirius, Remus, and Peter), Lily Evans', and Severus Snape's tales of Hogwarts and I'm turning them modern because I don't know what it would've been like when they were actually there so... yeah. This is mostly in the point of view of Lily Evans, but I might switch to James every now and then. I'm going to try and focus a lot of the Marauders, of course, and their relationships with Lily. And of course, Lily's relationship with Snape because let's be honest, we all ship it a little bit! This takes place in their sixth year so.... enjoy!
