Paige has lived a very normal life, though both her parents were killed when she was only 8. She is now a senior and she soon realizes the mysteries of her parent's death with the help of the new guy in school, Jason. His parents had also been killed. Together, they find out that it wasn't because of something they'd done what killed their parents, but something they are. And, slowly they realize deep powers that they both have along with other things that could cause death for their other loved ones or even themselves.
