Gerard doesn't quite understand why his hair turned completely white when he was only nine years old. There's a list of things he doesn't understand, such as why he can't leave the house after 6pm or why his mother was frantic to cover his hair when they went on family outings. He even wondered why he was pulled out of school after being neglected by all of his teachers. He just wasn't aware that he was a menace, a creative mind with too much power that was being brought into a ring of public shame. He was a Diff.

Frank Iero, on the other hand, was a Same. He was a role model, the apple of his mothers eye and the ideal teenager that anyone could ever ask for. Yet, even the most perfect seeming person could have so many secrets that needed to be kept from the people like him.

Frank's little secret just happened to be the fact that Gerard Way infatuated him.
