Isolated. Depressed. Broken. Madeline Young has grown used to experiencing these feelings on a daily basis as she struggles to make her away around the obstacles of daily life. School bullies who harass and ridicule you, teachers who underestimate you, neighbors who stare daggers at you- those types of obstacles. And on top of it all, she must come home every day to a mother who abuses drugs in hopes of overcoming her misery and an autistic brother who hasn't gotten the attention and care he needs ever since their father passed away. It seems that nothing can mend the internal scar that runs through her. She is nothing, a nobody, to everyone. She is a gone case.... Until she meets a special boy who seems to be the answer to all her problems. The boy who will mend this "internal scar" of hers.
Elliot Jensen and Elliot Fintry have a lot in common. They share the same name, the same house, the same school, oh and they hate each other but, as they will quickly learn, there is a fine line between love and hate.
