Isolated. Depressed. Broken. Madeline Young has grown used to experiencing these feelings on a daily basis as she struggles to make her away around the obstacles of daily life. School bullies who harass and ridicule you, teachers who underestimate you, neighbors who stare daggers at you- those types of obstacles. And on top of it all, she must come home every day to a mother who abuses drugs in hopes of overcoming her misery and an autistic brother who hasn't gotten the attention and care he needs ever since their father passed away. It seems that nothing can mend the internal scar that runs through her. She is nothing, a nobody, to everyone. She is a gone case.... Until she meets a special boy who seems to be the answer to all her problems. The boy who will mend this "internal scar" of hers.

After a year of pulling herself back together, she's finally able to go back to school, ready to put the past in the past and move on. With a past so dark moving on is just what she needs. She's the new girl in school, so you know what that means. But Scarlett doesn't want all the drama that comes along with it. She just wants to keep a low profile, and not draw unnecessary attention towards herself. One day not paying any attention to anyone else but herself, she bumps into the schools notorious Jace Walker. Jace is rude and careless, or so she was told. He's known for not having feelings for really anyone. Breaking girls hearts right and left. So when Scarlett finds his diary maybe reading a few pages wouldn't hurt. He deserves it right? But Scarlett is forced to reveal secrets of her own she swore she wouldn't. It was just a diary. But sadly Scarlett was wrong, a lot comes along with just a diary. Scarlett is forced into so much more drama than she ever hoped for. |Highest Rank: #23 In Teen Fiction|
