When the world falls to ashes around you... who holds the guns, power, and determination to survive?
With a fate determined to break her, Alex must battle hoards of the un-dead, the savagery of the living, the demands of the hopeful, and the indignities of love... all whilst kicking a$$, taking names, and smarta$$-ery.
Alex is the gleam of a gun, the crack of a whip, and she's not taking prisoners. Cackling all the way to the hell she believes she deserves. Alex welcomes the end with an unflinching eyeroll, two middle fingers, and a sharp tongue.

When a mysterious death occurs, revealing a well-concealed secret, things quickly go downhill as humanity's future is placed on the shoulders of a single gaggle of teenagers. *** I hear a sigh from the other side of the door, "Miss. Chaucer, you have a wonderful opportunity here, are you going to take it or not?" Now, I am seriously confused, "Opportunity?" She takes advantage of my befuddled state and shoves the door open. Shit. The corners of her mouth pull up, and it's so unnatural, it takes me a moment to realize she's smiling. Major plastic surgery? Probably. Click. Did she just lock the door? She locked the door! I spring towards the house phone, dusty from years of doing absolutely nothing, so I can call the police. I don't make it. Halfway there, I trip on my own pant-leg and face plant on the floor. The woman steps over me and retrieves the phone. She looks at it as if it's a foreign object, "This won't be necessary. All I want to do is talk to you." For some reason, instead of screaming, I stay silent. She smiles and pulls out a chair from the kitchen table for me to sit on. When I don't sit, she says, "If you want to know what's going on, then sit." I think about it for a moment. She hasn't hurt me yet, and I have to admit, I am quite curious as to what's going on. Oh, wait they are killing those dead people and making their way toward the 203 Sheriff resident... there is a survivor... Mrs Sheriff is coming out... thank god she is saved. (Samira sees that the soldiers are pointing their gun towards Mrs Sheriff and she was begging to save her and her husband but they shot Mrs Sheriff and went in to kill her husband.) "The trees are always evergreen when we're together." Trigger Warnings: this will be a horror, post apocalyptic story. It will include violent scenes, gore, blood, some sexually explicit events in heavy detail. I won't include spoilers here until they've been posted. The zombie apocalypse has arrived, the virus has been dubbed as AM13, and the human race is struggling to survive. Here are some short stories to accompany Lockdown, Forgotten, and Extinct (but they can be read as standalone)...delve in and enjoy life among the undead! Outbreak: No one has it worse than Rachael! First her parents make her move to a crappy new town, then Zac starts ignoring her, and just to top everything off...the rumours of a zombie apocalypse seem to have more truth to them than anyone could have imagined! Quarantine: Katie did not sign up for this when she went to medical school. She's now working as a nurse at one of the specialist medical facilities set up for the AM13 virus. She doesn't want the humdrum of dealing with sick, dying patients every day, she wants to be the hero who finds a cure! As the Lockdown starts, and more people with the virus are bought in, can she keep control of the situation? Crackdown: Oliver might have a slightly shady past, but he joined the police force to make the world a better place, how was he supposed to know the whole world was going to go to hell?
