As I wake up, it's the smell of disinfectants that reach my nose first. Then my fingers feel the sheets and bed. I try to open my eyes; it's all a blur at first. I blink a few times, I see many machines around. I'm hooked to all those and there's an IV on my hand. I try to sit up, my head feels heavy and I fall back. Its then I realize that everything hurts. I flinch from the intensity of the pain that hits me all at once.
The door bursts open and a few people in white coats come towards me and start checking all the machines. I see them opening their mouths and talking, but I can't hear anything. Its then I register the buzzing in my ears. They give me an injection and I feel the buzzing reduce. I calm down and breathe properly. Its then I feel the oxygen mask on my face and register the heartbeats on the monitor going crazy. I slowly drift to sleep.

He held the gun at me. It was quiet except for my heavy breathing. I was sweating so badly too. Blood trickled down my forehead which plastered a few hair strands on my face. He crocked the gun. I closed my eyes and send a silent prayer to my dead family. I should have listened to Joshua!
"I'm sorry that I couldn't completely avenge your deaths. But then again I'm happy to join you in a while. I love you three"
He was going to press the trigger. I blinked. "It's a shame, really Norsca that you didn't avenge your dead family"
My eyes blazed in ager. "I will join them soon. But don't forget William, you won't be far behind. You'll join me soon enough!"
A shot rang through the old barn. A few pigeons fluttered away disturbed by the sound. I didn't feel any pain, maybe this was it, I thought as I slowly fell back closing my eyes with a smile on my face yet a tinge of sadness seeping through as I didn't reach my goal nor full fill my duty.
