Il y a longtemps, très très longtemps, un empire, celui de Mu, régnait au centre de l'océan pacifique. Ce peuple aujourd'hui disparut a la suite d'un immense cataclysmes, ne faisait plus parler personne. Plus personne n'y croit de nos jour. Mais les signes de l'existence de Mu, va ressurgir alors que tout cela semblait irréalisable. En effet un enfant de 15 ans, Gaspard, que l'on traitera d'abord de fou, va mettre la main sur une étrange carte. Indiquant l'endroit ou est caché depuis des lustres un trésor mystérieux. L'avenir de l'humanité, le grand héritage du Monde.
