I had this idea for a while but it was so interesting not knowing what the other person would write instead of writing both sides for myself. In 2018 Harry and Louis have a hard time making things work between them. They fight nonstop and Harry drags them to a couples therapist in one last, desperate effort to save their relationship. Since he's going to the States for a month their new therapist suggests that they will write letters to each other, one each day. Will writing save their relationship? The day of everyone's lives where they're supposed to have had their tattoo already. Now, 5 years after the disappointment of not receiving one, Louis has completely given up on ever finding someone. He's given up on ever getting a tattoo, on ever finding a soul mate, and on ever being loved. Until he meets Kealleigh a month after her 18th birthday. (This is a short story. Please do not directly steal my ideas, like the tattoos for example because I made them up entirely on my own. This short story is a complete work of fiction inspired by some other soulmate stories that I've read over time. He worked nights. So they would share the flat (and bed) but not at the same time. That could actually work! So Harry moved in without even meeting the guy. They started leaving notes to each other and Harry was intrigued by the stranger he was living with. Would they ever meet in person? I read a book once (real one, not fanfiction) with this theme and I totally stole the idea. Sorry. Purely fictional. Some smut warning.

She had been putting on a bracelet, when she saw the curvy writing on her wrist. 'Louis A.' That day, and the rest of the year, the young child was the most envied girl at her school, getting her tattoo before people three, four, even five grades ahead. Now, in late 2014, Reagan is almost twenty, her birthday on New Year's Eve. She has yet to find her mate, after ten years, but also has yet to give up. She wants to find her mate. Louis. When Reagan begins to question her search and everything she's gone through, one meeting sends her life spiraling. Struggling, she juggles finding out who Louis A. is, being signed as One Direction's stylist, and helping her stepfather support her mother - and baby siblings - who had supported her for so many years.
