"Pfft. Seriously? I'm not getting a turtle! I'd rather have a snake." I complained to my mother. "Fine then, you won't get a pet at all." My mother said to me, facing the oven cooking chicken and white rice with beans. "Fine!" I turn my back to her and walk out of the kitchen and to my room. *2 hours later* "Okay, mother. This turtle does nothing. All I've seen it do is sleep. It hasn't even touched it's food!" I complain about my new turtle. "Oh well. It is a hatchling, isn't it? Isn't it Supposed to sleep? Plus, that's something normal." My mother responded sitting at the dining table. I put my hand on the dark, hard wood of the dining room table and face my mother. "Well, couldn't we get a TORTOISE instead? I mean, when it grows up it can be like our own dog. Only slower. And older. And have a powerful bite? I mean, seriously." ****** I hope you guys will enjoy my book!

Home Isn't A Place. In a post-apocalyptic world infested with infected creatures that were once human, Wren Levy and her best friend Belle Rose survive the apocalypse. Or so we hope. They grow to adapt to the new circumstances and situation they must outlive. And although it's hard, friendship keeps their heads high. On a quest to find necessities and food, they run into another duo not quite as chaotic as them. Let's hope they beat the shit out of the upcoming events. //// "Okay, you go first." She gestured to the latch. I looked back at her, "why don't you go first?" "Because I'm older then you." By a month and a day... "Shouldn't that mean you go first, Miss responsibility." I smirked. There was a moment of silence between the two of us. This happens a lot, we just don't say anything, yet it says so much. "Just go before I shove you down." She laughed shoving me a little. I giggled and opened the latch, aiming my gun down, "it looks clear." I carefully climbed down the latter and aimed my gun immediately. "Any of you fuckers out here?" I asked, circling my vision around the hideout. "Is it good?" I heard Belle ask from inside. "Yes, you can come down your highness." I laughed, watching as she made her way down. "Thanks, peasant." She smirked. //// Just read it dude, it was fun to write since it's based off of me and my best friend.
