"Pfft. Seriously? I'm not getting a turtle! I'd rather have a snake." I complained to my mother. "Fine then, you won't get a pet at all." My mother said to me, facing the oven cooking chicken and white rice with beans. "Fine!" I turn my back to her and walk out of the kitchen and to my room.

*2 hours later*

"Okay, mother. This turtle does nothing. All I've seen it do is sleep. It hasn't even touched it's food!" I complain about my new turtle. "Oh well. It is a hatchling, isn't it? Isn't it Supposed to sleep? Plus, that's something normal." My mother responded sitting at the dining table. I put my hand on the dark, hard wood of the dining room table and face my mother. "Well, couldn't we get a TORTOISE instead? I mean, when it grows up it can be like our own dog. Only slower. And older. And have a powerful bite? I mean, seriously."
