Claude and Edith,

My dear friends, I am so terribly sorry for the loss of your boy. He was such a brave soul to go into that building after it caught fire. He saved two lives with that selfless heart God gave him, but I'm so sorry those lives ended his own. You should be proud of the honorable young man you both raised and know that he will always be remembered for what he did. I send all my love and hope you are dealing as best you can with this terrible tragedy. I found this picture I had taken for his birthday in the park and I thought you should have it. Please let me know if I can do anything at all for you.

Your dear friend,
Bonnie Edmonson

WORK IN PROGRESS‼️ ─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ── There was no noise; I was at peace, and ironically, the stone-cold pavement never seemed warmer as my blood oozed out of me and around me like a painted canvas. I was slowly losing consciousness, but my mind never seemed happier now that I was dying. The white walls with big bright lights did not resemble heaven; in fact, it was quite the opposite. I thought I had died. When I came to, I found myself in this strange place, disoriented and confused. I looked around and found another five pairs of eyes looking at me with the same emotion swirling in their gaze. Now, 15 years later, I train with these girls. Our makers take care of us, feed us, and make sure we are clean, healthy, and fit. Some of us never had that; that's probably why it took so long for us to realize we were being used. The dirty work they made us do, none of us questioned it. How could we when we were taken off the streets? For a chance at normalcy, we settled for anything, even if that meant blurring the lines of right and wrong. After a mission gone haywire, we started noticing, and now we strike back to take our voices and reclaim the power that was used on us as a way to control us. After all, they are the ones who trained us; we are just returning our long-overdue favour. ─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ── Rankings : Featured in Mystery-thriller #5 in Mystery-thriller on 7/12/24

Eight years ago... A chilling secret was buried deep within the government's shadows-a secret so immense it could shatter the fabric of reality. Earth was on the brink of a cataclysm, and only a few knew the truth. John, an elite agent, couldn't live with the weight of it. He chose to defy his orders, vowing to warn his family before it was too late. But as he reached out to them, he was caught. The truth was silenced. His desperate message, unfinished and lost, faded into oblivion. Present day... It's a quiet Friday evening. The sky is painted with the fading colors of sunset as Bucky and his friends gather at their usual spot-Sunset Hill. It's a tradition in their small town, a chance to unwind and watch the world slip into darkness. But tonight, something is different. As the last sliver of sun disappears, Clair's sharp eyes catch a strange red light flickering in the forest across town. With adrenaline coursing through their veins, they venture into the unknown, drawn to the mysterious glow. What they find is more than they ever expected. In the depths of the woods, they stumble upon a forgotten secret: a trail of clues left behind by someone who once fought to protect the truth. Among the debris, a letter was found with the name "John Ketterman" etched into it. Who was John? Why did he disappear? And more importantly, will Bucky and his friends be able to find his family before the end of the world? The answers are buried in the dark corners of their town, waiting to be uncovered, as four friends find themselves caught in a race against time... and toward an impending disaster that no one is prepared for. The world as they know it is on the edge of unraveling-and only they can stop it, if they can survive long enough to piece it all together.
