Because Alice had died.
They told Alicia it was because of old age, but Alicia knew that wasn't why.
Something has happened, something drastic, something mad.
The world was becoming mad.
Alicia's mind was becoming mad.
She was mental, they told her.
But Alicia was certain she was just mad. Ever since her grandmother died she had been searching for the rabbit with the ticking clock.
But she never did.
Until her twentieth birthday.
She saw the rabbit.
And followed him.
And slipped into Wonderland.
But was it really wonderland?
Alicia couldn't tell. She only knew it from the stories. But she knew it was different.
Wonderland was slipping into madness, and bringing her world down with it.

Alicia meets The Mad Hatters son. His real name is Alec, But Alicia insist of calling him by two names.

Madness.
But Alec isn't like his grandfather. He's much more mad, and cruel.
