(disclaimer: we do not own any of the "shadowhunter terminology" used in this story. we are using the world created by Cassandra Clare!) In a world where demons roam the earth, where humans possess strange powers, when a single mark has the power to strengthen you, one battle may not seem like a lot. This isn't true for Elsa Blackthorn who's parents hid her away after one dire demon attack, which cost Blair Carstairs and her twin brother Adrian their parents, not to mention their friend Cam Wayland's uncle, his only remaining relative. Blair, Adrian, Cam, and Elsa had been best friends since birth, but when her parents hid her, they hid her memory, as well. Blair is surprised when Elsa and her parents show up at the doors of the Scotland Institute, stating that they are going to be living there. Blair starts to have memories of the battle that killed her parents, and Adrian is constantly staring at Elsa, a stone-cold look on his face. There is trouble brewing in Idris, demons are popping up everywhere, and Elsa is still struggling to gain back her her memory. In a story filled with demons, Downworlders, and moody teenagers, can the four friends rediscover their connection in order to save the world crumbling around them? Or will Idris fall, along with the Mundane world around it?

The young shadowhunter Aleksa Monteverde, called Leksi, finds herself in the academy in Idris after her parabatai Annabeth Kingsmill was killed by a demon. She gets to know the kind Blake Pangborn with whom she gets along pretty well and they immediately become friends. But next to Blake there is a mysterious boy named Elijah Blackthorn who seems to hate everything and everybody. Stuck between a friend and a love interest, Aleksa is confronted with even greater problems. The Council brings the charge against her, that she wasn't present, when Annabeth Kingsmill died. They blame Aleksa for her death. While Aleksa tries everything to get over the loss of her parabatai and to get back to the institute in Montreal, she has to struggle with the Council and them wanting her to visit the City of Bones until the hearing. But her new won friends help her and Aleksa soon finds out the real reason she was held out of the investigations considering Annabeth's death and sent to Idris. The story takes place in an imagined academy, mentioned in the TMI books by Cassie. Since I love academies I had to write about a story happening here. But the story also sets in various places over the world and reunites some familiar places from the TMI books with new impressions. New characters are introduced and also some old and well-known characters will appear during the happenings.Concluida

While in London she learns many secrets of her past and present. Through this two book series Jordan tries to figure out who she is, and whether she can or wants to find the truth about her parents. Whether they actually did what they were accused of or if they were set up. There are many twists and turns in Jordan's life and it all started when she was sent to London. (I get the ideas of this book from Cassandra Clare's Mortal Instruments series and from The Vampire Diaries along with other countless supernatural books and movies.)Concluida
