Amelia had a perfect life with her mother but everything came crashing down when a car accident ended her mother's life and saved hers. Confronted by sadness and guilt, she blamed herself for the death of her mother and closed her doors to anything that could comfort her. While she was grieving, she discovered a notebook that was journal of her mother's, containing entries of thoughts and a bucket list. Amelia then had the idea to live up to her mother's wishes and decided to do the bucket list. However, one day a young man appeared to her doorsteps and alter the course of Amelia's plan to strike off her mother's bucket list.

Sarah is your typical good girl. She attends her regular classes and goes home at her prescribed time. Only on the odd couple days she stays behind after an extra couple hours past her curfew. And that's to go to the libary. She's got no friends and according to the barbies of the school she's the schools social outcast. Just know that if you don't come with me, you could come home to find that your parents are dead because of a work accident or some other natural cause. You wouldn't want that would you?" He paused just one more time and began speaking again. "If you come with me today, your parents won't have to die. I can keep them safe. If you don't give me an answer, I'll have my creature kill your parents now and I'll still take you. Do you want dead parents or living parents? It's your choice."
