Two years have past since Marie met loliRock and has changed a lot. She still gets in touch with the magical princesses, but they don't remember all that they had gone through. Jack eventually became a famous actor and, because of his career choice, he moved to a different country. Saddened by her current situation, Marie decides to move in with her second cousin, Rose, who lives in Paris, France.
Only a few hours of being in Paris, the Star once again speaks to the teen. The Star warns Marie that a different evil resides in Paris and she must help the heroes defeat it. So, Marie becomes Starlight, the holder of the Star, and helps Ladybug and Chat Noir defeat all of Hawkmoth's akumatized victims.

She lies about who she is which starts a whole chain reaction full of lies. So much happens to Marinette in one week she feels like she's going to snap. So as you know Chat Noir is tired of all those secrets , hiding his identity is diffictult , but even more difficult when he doesn't knows the girl who is behind Ladybug's mask since he loves her . He would do anything to see that mysterious girl , but he also knows that she doesn't want him to know and respects that . Negative emotions sometimes overtake him , but tries to hide them , fearing that he will get akumatized . He doesn't like all those secrets and he wants to make Ladybug understand that hiding her identity from him , won't change anything ,but make it worse , he doesn't want to tell her about his fear , so Ladybug refuses to reveal her identity , but telling the truth .
