Power Before Mercy , the words that the Dominants live by. The Dominants are strange creatures. They need power, and if they don't get that power... they get blood thirsty. They will rip someone to pieces until their blood thirst is satisfied. So when Lilith, a Dominant, comes to the Human Realm, no ones knows how that will end, but her prediction: not well.

When Lilith, the heir to the throne of the Shadow Realm decides that she wishes not it be Queen, she comes to the realm where Humans live. As she discovers this realm, she finds something... or someone.

Alex is just a normal teenage football player, strong, talented, and has been offered many football scholarships. When Lilith enters his life, and he finds out who she really is, well, his life will never be the same.

As Lilith explores the Human realm, she crosses paths with the attractive, and kind Alex. She saves his life, but in the process takes someone else's. He thanks her, they go to the hospital, but they both felt a connection, a connection as more than friends. Soon enough, they go on dates and fall in love. Lilith knows that whatever they have will not end well. What if her blood thirst take over? What is her mother finds out? What will she do? He will die and she will be punished. But there is something about him that makes Lilith fall for him again and again. Maybe it's the breathtaking smile, maybe it's the way he treats her. Maybe it's the way she feels like she is in heaven when his lips touch hers. Lilith is unsure.

When Alex is told what Lilith is, but not only that they need power or they get bloodthirsty. But who they really are. What they do. He learns how they invade so they can have the power, killing everyone from that realm in the process. Will he take action to do what is right? Or will he put his realm in danger in the name of love?
