The break is about a girl who lost her parents in a war, she hid out for days camping, with no fresh food. one day, she was spotted by an enemy and had to run, all she had was knifes and lighter, and gas.

As she was finding places to hide she ran into a group of teens about the same age as her, the group of teens had guns, homemade bombs and knifes. She stuck with the group who came up with a plan to eliminate the access point, they snuck in to the gate to where the people took their families. 

They soon found out that thier families were beginning tortured for information, even though a few I'm the group already lost theirs. They had to fight for not only thier lives but humanity (as they say). Lauren (main character) learned how to hack, build and replace. She and Phoebe ( other main character) tried to build a space ship! and Garret ( made the engine fuel).  Nina, tried to activate a signal by hearing what the bad men were saying over the intercom. She
 succssed.Once,  the ship was finished,  they had come to realize that even if they could go to space, they could be seen by the enemy leaving. Another problem, how will they know if space is the place to go, thier end plan is even better, they will use the ship to distract the men while they get thier parents out. Then once, the ship will blow up.   There's only seven people. Will love get in the way?

I honestly didn't realize how broken I was. I just figured that if I shut all my feelings out that they would go away. They didn't. They came back strong as ever.
