Dean knows he's not straight but he didn't know that Cas's eyes are that blue up close.
Castiel knows Deans different from the rest of them but he didn't know Dean would be anything but straight.
Though, the real kicker is that Castiel Novak knows it's a bet.

Heartbreak (Destiel high school AU)
Castiel Novak hates Dean winchester with passion, every things he says, every pickup line he pulls and every prank he plays, makes Castiel hate the football captain more. and it would be okay really seeing as Castiel is good at avoiding people if not for the fact that it seems Winchester is convinced that he can get in Castiel's pants ever since Castiel stepped foot in Lawrence High, and thus made it his mission. Well if that's the case, then Nope not happening on Castiel's watch. But when Castiel's beloved sister gets her heart broken by the heartthrob that is the ever hated Dean Winchester, Castiel has his mind set one revenge. And not the kind of revenge you'd expect from a big brother who's sister got dumped. No Castiel wants Winchester to go through the same kind of pain his poor sister went through. He's going to tear his heart to pieces. *********************************************** Okay guys this is like my first ever fan fiction so please comment and let me know how I did. Hope you enjoy! You're an Asshole (but a cute one) [Destiel AU]
Something about that cocky grin and mischievous smirk made Cas glare in fury. Dean had no sense of respect whatsoever, he tries to flirt himself out of trouble (though it has worked a few times on Cas, he must admit), and he's a complete and utter asshole... but he's a cute asshole, so who is he to say no to those taunting green eyes? • this is book one of two [ Destiel AU, ideas from tumblr ] Warning: Bad language (for those not comfortable with profanity)Complete
anonymity was never an option
A college Destiel AU fic. Castiel Novak is 20 years old, and on the verge of a mental break down just about every damn day of his life. He went to college to live up to his mother's expectations, but he's starting to rethink whether or not he actually cares about that. Maybe it was the new found independence of living his own life? Or maybe it was the mysterious chat from a stranger that set him on the edge of rebellion. He only accepted the chat because he had no friends in the real world to begin with... maybe he could use on online friend. --------- Dean Winchester never knew how much he needed someone to care for. With his little brother Sammy away at a different college and living with his girlfriend, Dean was all alone, where he previously had never had a moment to himself. Dean started a chat with a stranger to find himself a new friend. He quickly realized how much he actually enjoyed the anonymous personality on the other side of the screen. And through his 22 years, he had never fallen for someone as much as he did the kid from the party. Little did he know, they were the same person. - started publishing: september 16th, 2018 ended publishing: february 10th, 2019 I hope to update daily, I pre-wrote most of this story before the publication date, so if I'm not updating enough, let me know :)Complete

Oblivious, Dean launches into a new relationship with a girl he meets at the mall one afternoon, and it tears Cas apart seeing Dean with her, especially when it looks like for the first time in his life, Dean is getting serious about a girl. Charlie, being the good friend she is throws a party and invites Cas. There's an interesting guy there that catches Cas' eye. Sweet fluff ensues, and it's soon after that Dean learns Cas' biggest secret. He is also faced with emotions he has never felt before, especially in regards to Cas. He finds himself jealous and angry when he sees Cas with Luke, and at his brother's suggestion he decides to confront his true feelings for his best friend, and tell him how he really feels. There is a lot of pain and heartache in the beginning for Cas, but I swear it ends on a good note. I hope you all enjoy!Complete
