The Pessimist

Cassie is a young girl who has a very glass-half-empty take on life. She's a realist in her eyes, she's a pessimist in others', and she's rarely in a good mood. An orphan at the ripe age of 18, Cassie has decided to go out into the world. She's going to move to New York! Cliche? Yes. However, she's not one for dreams. Cassie's been offered a job. A famous journalist has remarked on her rather realistic and downright saddening views. He believes she has what it takes to be a famous journalist, and maybe to change the world a little bit while she's at it (even if she's just a little bit depressing). But, living in a new city with a new set of people, who's to say a person won't come along that will change her mind?
