Despite this, Skylar Thomas has become the most commonly spoken name within the halls of Paulaire High School. No, she is not the head cheerleader or valedictorian. She's not the star athlete or the lead in the school play either. She's also not the class president. No; up until recently Skylar Thomas was just another sophomore girl.

A few weeks ago Skylar mysteriously stopped attending school and cut contact with anyone who had previously been able to get a hold of her; including Jake. There are several rumors floating around these halls; each worse than the previous. But when Jake receives an anonymous package containing a set of 13 cassette tapes, will these rumors finally be put to rest?
