Ash is now 16, and champion of 6 regions, Kanto, Jhoto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova and Alola, all except Kalos.
When Ash traveled 6 years back in Kalos, Clemont used to be a amateur scientist, now a world known engineer and scientist. His work is used all around Kalos and mainly Lumiose city. Serena used to be a normal performer, now the Kalos Queen. And of course Bonnie, now the gym leader of Lumiose city. All 4 of them have been successful in life.
Ash can be the first person ever to be champion of 7 regions all at once if he can beat Diantha, the Champion of Kalos. He has 3 options to fulfill that achievement. Option 1 is to go to Kalos, and beat Diantha. Option 2 is to go to Kalos and beat Diantha. And option 3 is to go to ka-... you probably get it by now. His only option is to go to Kalos and beat the Champion. So what does he do?
